This AI Agent provides a guided exploration of the World Bank’s “Somalia Systematic Country Diagnostic Update,” which outlines how Somalia can transition from fragility to resilience by strengthening institutions and creating jobs. Despite modest gains in some non-monetary welfare indicators since the first SCD, poverty remains widespread, and economic growth has not kept pace with the population’s needs.
Using newly available data from the 2022 Somalia Integrated Household Budget Survey—the country’s first such survey since 1991—the report reassesses development priorities and identifies five High-Level Outcomes (HLOs) for inclusive growth. The Agent helps policymakers, development partners, and analysts interact with this updated diagnostic to better understand Somalia’s reform trajectory.
